Studying Law and Sociology Abroad, University of Geneva, Switzerland – Social Steps #Special Edition – Social Steps
How willing are you to pursue your dreams? André quit a good job in the name of a dream to study abroad and pursue an international career. Despite all the financial difficulties of living in Geneva, one of the most expensive cities in the world, André managed to get his Master’s Degree at The Graduate Institute of International Studies in Switzerland and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree at the University of Geneva.
We talk about his experiences in Switzerland (including the day when he met Dilma Rousseff, former president of Brazil), how to balance fatherhood and work, cultural aspects of the Swiss culture, advice for a perfect application to study in Switzerland, and more.
- André Cardozo Sarli, Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at the Centre for Children’s Rights Studies, University of Geneva and Master in International Law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies
